Newent Onion Fayre is a one day street festival of food, drink, music and merriment which attracts almost 15,000 visitors. At the heart of the festival is the Onion Show which is unique in its status in the UK. The whole town becomes a party during what has become recognised as a celebration of the first day of harvest at the end of the summer.

If you would like to get involved and be part of Gloucestershire’s largest, free one day event, please come along to the Onion Fayre’s meetings which are held on the first Tuesday of each month in the Market House at 7:30pm. Volunteers always needed the day before or on the morning.
